Stories your donation made possible

Behind every number is a student, a teacher or a parent whose world shifted because of your support.

The first lab I'd ever seen was the Sci High starter kit. Until then we did “experiments” with chalk.

Viktoria D., grade 9
SU Silistra
My mentor was the first person who asked me “why do you think it works that way?” — instead of “write down the formula”.

The final festival gave me what school couldn't: the moment my parents understood what I want to do for the rest of my life.

Ivan P., grade 12

For the first time I'm seeing kids show up for class on a Saturday because they want to. Sci High reminded me why I became a teacher in the first place.

Galina P., biology teacher
SU Silistra
One of my students — a boy who used to skip class — presented his project at the finale in front of 600 people. That's a change I could never have produced on my own.

Nikolay D., physics teacher
PMG Haskovo
The programme gave me tools I never got anywhere else — how to run a real project, how to let the data win the argument, how to speak in front of a room. I'm learning alongside the kids.

Donor questions

How are donations used?

Every donation directly funds the programme — materials for student projects, mentor sessions, teacher training and the festivals. The four tiers above show concrete examples: €25 covers materials for one team, €150 covers one mentor session, €600 sustains a whole season at one school, €5,000 launches a new club in a smaller town. The foundation publishes an annual activity report with a detailed breakdown of how funds are spent.

How can I donate?

Three channels: Stripe (one-time or monthly card payment), employer matching through GlobalGiving and Benevity (if your company runs a matching programme), or direct bank transfer. The "Choose a convenient channel" section above lists each option.

Can I make a recurring monthly donation?

Yes — Stripe lets you choose a one-off donation or a monthly subscription. Recurring donations help long-term planning, typically funding a full season for a specific team or school.

Do you issue a donation receipt?

Yes — the foundation issues an official donation receipt on request. Contact [email protected] or use the donor enquiry form with the donor name, date and amount. For applicable tax-relief eligibility, consult your accountant.

Will my employer match my donation?

If your employer uses GlobalGiving or Benevity for matching personal donations, yes — Sci-High Foundation is registered on both platforms. Search for "Sci-High" or "Сай Хай" in your company's matching portal. Many international companies operating in Bulgaria offer 1:1 matching up to a yearly cap.

How can a company partner long-term?

The corporate partnership tiers (Silver / Gold / Platinum — above this section) cover material support, mentorship hours and shared branding. Reach out via the "Get in touch for a partnership" link to discuss a customised package.
