Curiosity
We support children and young people to ask questions about the world around them — without fear of being wrong. Curiosity is the first step of every scientist, engineer and entrepreneur.
Sci High is a Bulgarian foundation, established in 2019, that connects students grades 5–12 to real science and engineering projects — alongside mentors from top universities and industry.
The first Sci High fest took place in the closing days of the 2018/2019 school year at the National School of Mathematics and Sciences "Acad. Lyubomir Chakalov" — four student teams worked alongside their mentors for eight weeks to present their first science projects in front of an audience.
Since then the programme has grown into a national network of school clubs and festivals where students turn their curiosity into projects tackling real problems from their own communities — from air quality to energy efficiency. The programme is free for students, funded by individual donors, corporate partners and foundations.

We teach how to test a hypothesis, how to collect data and how to draw conclusions that hold up to scrutiny. We trust observation, not opinion.
Real problems are solved as a team. Students work in mixed groups together with mentors from universities, industry and their schools.
Sci-High is open to every student in grades 5 through 12 — regardless of school, region or prior experience. Different perspectives make science stronger.
We back projects that don’t stay on paper. Our teams solve problems for specific communities, schools and cities across Bulgaria.
We expect our students to do good science and good engineering. We challenge them to reach higher standards than they think they can.
A small core team, a large community of like-minded people.
Teachers, mentors, volunteers and school partners across the Sci High network — no festival would happen without them.
Every donation turns into materials, mentors and stage time for Bulgarian students.
