How natural sciences help students think analytically and critically
NOVA News reports from a Sci-High event and asks how the natural sciences become a setting for analytical and critical thinking among 5th–12th-grade students.
The newsroom team at NOVA filmed a feature from a Sci-High event and asked how the natural sciences can become a setting in which students in grades 5–12 develop analytical and critical thinking.
The piece includes:
- Footage from working sessions of student teams in physics, biology, chemistry and engineering.
- Short interviews with participants who explain in their own words why they joined and what surprised them in their own findings.
- Voices of mentors and organisers on what a teenager learns in an environment that doesn’t punish a wrong answer but does demand a reasoned one.
The feature is part of a NOVA News series on non-formal education programmes in Bulgaria.
